ALL THE TIME SHOWCASE ROTE ERDE

Das Kollektiv All The Time aus Dortmund schafft eine synästhetische Plattform für Musik, Malerei, auditive und visuelle Gestaltung und jede weitere erdenkliche Ausdrucksform. Es entsteht ein neuer Kontext für Kreative aus der Region und für alle, die so viel Spaß an der Betrachtung und am Zuhören wie am ausgelassenen Feiern haben.
Der Grundstein dafür wird am 13. März 2010 in einer Örtlichkeit der besonderen Art gelegt: Die Katakomben des traditionsreichen Stadions Rote Erde in der Strobelallee dienen als Austragungsort für einen Abend voller

Kunst und eine Nacht voller Tanzmusik. Zu sehen, zu hören und zu fühlen gibt es:

Audiokunst zum Thema Glücklichsein von War Is Legal
Inszenierung von Bild und Lyrik von Janine Fabig
Linolschnitt von Evelyn Bracklow
Malerei von Bene Bavarese / Marco Störmer

sowie eine rasensportliche Location-Gestaltung von der Animalism-Crew.

Nach der Sammlung die Zerstreuung: Headliner der Nacht ist Ahmet Sisman. Er veröffentlicht seine Stücke u.a auf den Labels Slash, Dumb Unit und Lessizmore. Bei der musikalischen Gestaltung unterstützt ihn das All The Time DJ-Team, bestehend aus Philipp Nusch und André Rother, Bene Bavarese und Plain.

Lomografie – Buchgestaltung

We just spotted this nice publication via slanted magazine. The project called ‘Lomo – Farbrausch’ is a semester project from german Annabell Ritschel. The article (available in german) starts with

Dortmunds Kreativ Stars im März

For our locals:

Die Ausstellungsreihe bei Heimatdesign in Kooperation und mit Unterstützung
der Wirtschaftsförderung Dortmund geht weiter. Im März wird Interior und
Fotografie das Thema sein.

Zu Katharina Pawliks Serie “La Basurita“: … versteht sich, menschlich wie materiell,
als eine Antwort auf den globalen Trend der Wegwerfgesellschaft.

La basurita ist eine Interieurserie, die unser Mobiliar auf das Wesentliche reduziert.
Grundbedürfnisse wie schlafen, sitzen, ablegen und verstauen stehen im Mittelpunkt
der Entwürfe. Nutzlos gewordene Alltagsgegenstände, die der moderne Stadtmensch
mangels Bedarf und Interesse auf die Straße stellt, werden als Rohstoff eingesetzt.
Die Fokussierung auf Grundbedürfnisse und die im Entwurfsprozess entstehenden
funktionalen Alltagsobjekte führen das Material von der Straße in den Wohnbereich
zurück. Multiple Nutzungsmöglichkeiten erlauben eine flexible Anwendung der
jeweiligen Möbel. So endet das Design von la basurita erst mit der Benutzung.

Analytics for your Dashboard: Trakkboard

Maybe some of you use Google Analytics to take a look at your website visitors and visits, pageviews per visitor and so on … from time to time. Although it’s a nice function for webmasters or curious people in general, I think it’s not nice to log in to your google account every time you’d like to check the stats. So why don’t have it all in an small application on your desktop? Open source, no matter if mac or win? So I started a search to find a tool … I tested more than this one, but liked this the most, so I’d like to share my experience with it. Take a look at some screenshots:

To use this nice & hight customizable tool you need to register at the Trakkboard homepage to receive your free key. The german developer team of this Adobe Air based application did a nice job, I really like the tabbed functions for your different projects and the dashboard-styled overview. You can manage all widgets on your own – so it’s easy to customize the stats individual for your different web projects. You can choose between visitors, visits, page per views, visiting time and so on – and can change the timeline end and start dates as you want, e.g. last 30 days… You can drag and drop and resize the widget modules in any way.

Analyze yourself via MousePath!

Dennis Wedding from WeloveMusic.EverySingleDay.Org and Nonstopnerds team spotted this cool tool on KitsuneNoir:

The tool is extremly small and comes for both Mac and Windows. It simply records every motion of your mouse or trackpad and visualizes it in a clean, monochromatic map.

Nice App: Tilt Shift Generator

I use to search through the Adobe Marketplace for free Air Apps from time to time… e.g. on long weekends. A while ago I spotted this awesome tool called Tilt Shift Generator which makes creation of tilt-shift lookalike photographies as easy as resizing a bunch of images. And best – it’s free.. LICHTKUNST IM WOHNZIMMER

Open light in private spaces ist das Motto der weltweit ersten BIENNALE FÜR INTERNATIONALE LICHTKUNST, die vom 28. März bis 27. Mai im Rahmen der Kulturhauptstadt Europas RUHR.2010 stattfindet. Ein Ausstellungsprojekt, das es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht hat, in 60 privaten Räumlichkeiten von Einwohnern der Städte Bergkamen, Bönen, Fröndenberg/Ruhr, Hamm, Lünen und Unna Kunstwerke international renommierter KünstlerInnen wie John M Armleder, Angela Bulloch, Olafur Eliasson, Sylvie Fleury, Joseph Kosuth, Olaf und Carsten Nicolai, Gunilla Klingberg, Maix Maier, Anny & Sibel Öztürk, Saburo Teshigawara, James Turrell und Jun Yang zu zeigen.

Grimm Magazine

I bought this nice magazine yesterday in the Dortmund HBF Bookstore. 160 pages in black&white + 4c, limited to 1500 copies, for an amount of 13 €… A lot of german lyrics & stories, illustration, photographic work and a short comic strip are inside… A very lovely piece, with an awesome black in black design and partly special papers… Only 2 were left yesterday Thursday evening…if I have the time to search for their project homepage, I’ll add a link next days…
